May 27 Winooski River Bolton - canoe access on Duxbury Road
Richmond - Bridge Street town recreation area
Downriver from Bolton canoe access to Bridge Street Recreation Area: 5.9 miles (shuttle needed). Directions: The Duxbury Road is off Cochran Road in Jonesville near the new bridge over the Winooski. The Bolton canoe access is not signed, and is a few miles upstream on the paved portion of Duxbury Road. Poison Ivy Alert!
June 3 Lamoille River Johnson - Willow Crossing pull-off
Jeffersonville - Rt 108N bridge
Downriver from Willow Crossing to 108N: 7.5 miles (shuttle needed). Directions: The Willow Crossing pull-off is on Rt 15 about 5 miles east of the Rt. 15/108 intersection. Do not block the farm field access road. The 108N bridge is just off Rt 15 in Jeffersonville on Rt 108 North.
June 10 Winooski River Colchester - Town river access at the Heineberg Bridge, VT 127 Upstream from the Heineberg Bridge to Lake a midstream tree at the Ethan Allen Homestead, and back: 7.2 miles. Directions: The access is a Colchester Town park, next to the VT 127 bridge crossing the Winooski at the end of the Burlington Northern Connector.
June 17 Lamoille River Milton - State Fishing Access off Rt 2 at Bear Trap Rd Upstream to the Bear Trap Road Bridge and back: 7.3 miles. Directions: Turn off Rt 2 south on to Cub Rd (across from Bear Trap Rd), turn left at T, then right onto dirt Access Rd. Follow to end. Mosquito Alert!
June 24 Winooski River North Williston Road Bridge at 6 pm Technical downriver run from the Bridge Street Recreation Area in Richmond, to the North Williston Road Bridge: 8.3 miles. Directions: Meet to set shuttle at the North Williston Road Bridge, which is 0.25 miles east of VT 117 (River Road). The start is the town recreation area on Bridge Street in downtown Richmond.
July 1 Waterbury Reservoir Waterbury Reservoir Dam North from the dam, around a grassy island, and back: Approx 7 miles. Directions: From exit 10 on I-89, take Rt 100 south, and then turn right onto Rt 2 west in Waterbury. After 0.5 mile, turn right on to Little River Road, signed for Little River State Park, and follow to the dam. Recover at the Alchemist in Waterbury.
July 8 Lamoille River Milton - Peterson Dam Upstream from the dam and back: 5 miles. Directions: Take US 2 east from exit 17 on I-89 toward the Islands. Take next right onto Jasper Mine Rd, 0.25 miles from the exit. Turn right onto Mayo Rd (paved). Follow Mayo Rd north along the Lamoille River (road name changes to West Milton Rd). Within view of the dam, the road swings away from the river. Take next left onto Peterson Dam access road. From New York, turn left off US 2 onto Bear Trap Rd. Go over the Lamoille bridge and turn left upstream on to West Milton Rd. The dam access road is the next left.
July 15 Winooski River Colchester - Town river access at the Heineberg Bridge, VT 127 Upstream a short ways from the Heineberg Bridge, downstream to the mouth, and back : approx 6 miles. Directions: The access is a Colchester Town park, next to the VT 127 bridge crossing the Winooski at the end of the Burlington Northern Connector.
July 22 Waterbury Reservoir Waterbury Reservoir Dam North from the dam, around a buoy up near Blush Hill, around a No Wake buoy in the north arm, and back: Approx 7 miles. Directions: See July 1.
July 29 Lamoille River mouth Milton - Fishing Access off Rt 2 at Bear Trap Rd Downstream to Lake Champlain, around the island that forms the mouth, back upstream past the start, around a navigational buoy just upstream of the Rt 2 bridge, and back: 5.0 miles. Directions: See June 17. Small Craft Advisory!
August 5 Post Series Party Milton - Milton Falls Dam - Downstream Access End of season Pot Luck dinner and raffle. Food at about 6 pm. Bring a salad or pasta to share. Bert is bringing burgers, veggie burgers, dogs, chicken, plates and utencils. BYOB. Show up early to paddle if you want. Directions: From exit 17 on I-89, go east on US 2, and then left on US 7 north. Follow US 7 into the village of Milton, past Milton High School on the left. US 7 descends into a dip. Turn left at the bottom of the dip onto Ritchie Avenue. At the dam itself, turn right onto a paved road that descends past the dam. Follow to grassy field and dirt ramp at the end.

The cost is $40 for the series or $5 per race. Proceeds help buy a canoe or kayak for the Girls or Boys Scouts on alternating years.

Best 7 of 10 races count for series awards.

People who register for the series before or by the first race will receive a CVCKS Coolmax commemorative shirt.

Free ice cream after each race! Great prizes raffled at end of series party.
